Options - Logging

Use these settings to help your understand the problem you may be having. Typically, you will not need to use these settings so you should leave them all turned off. Conceiva support staff may ask you to turn them on when they are trying to diagnose a problem.

Enable diagnostic logging for customer support analysis

By clicking this checkbox, Mezzmo will log events into a log file. This is only useful for Conceiva customer support staff to diagnose problems that you may be having. A Conceiva customer support member may ask you to turn this checkbox on and ask you to email the log files to Conceiva for analysis in order to fix a problem you may be having.

Warning: Mezzmo runs slower when diagnostic logging is turned on, so do not turn diagnostic logging on unless instructed to do so by a Conceiva customer support staff member. The log files can become large very quickly and will consume your computer's hard disk space.

Click the Browse button to change the location where log files are stored on your computer.

View Log Files

By clicking this button, Windows Explorer will be started and all Mezzmo log files will be displayed. A Conceiva customer support member may ask you to email these log files to Conceiva for analysis in order to fix a problem you may be having.

Tip: When you email your logs to us, we prefer you zip up all the logs using a compression tool like WinZip, WinRar or 7-Zip.

Clear Log Files

By clicking this button, your log files will be deleted.

Add subtitle language to title for videos

By clicking this checkbox, the subtitle language for videos will be added to the titles that are displayed on your device. This can be useful if you wish to know what subtitle Mezzmo is streaming to your device.

Example: Inception (en) - the movie 'Inception' has an English subtitle file associated with it.

Add text to title when a file requires transcoding

By clicking this checkbox, the text that you enter into edit box will be added to your titles if a file requires transcoding. We recommend you use the '*' character as the indicator for requiring transcoding. This is useful if you wish to know what files are transcoded already and what files have not been transcoded as yet for your various devices in your home.

Example: Inception* - assuming Inception video requires transcoding before it can be played on your device, then the title will be listed as 'Inception *' (assuming you have entered * into the edit box). After the file has been transcoded, then the marker text will no longer be added since the file no longer requires transcoding.

Add diagnostic text to titles for troubleshooting

By clicking this checkbox, Mezzmo will add text to your titles that will tell you what Mezzmo is delivering to your device. Basic syntax is:

{source format} = {destination format}

where {source format} is the original file's format and {destination format} is the format that Mezzmo will deliver to your device.

Burn progress bar into video when transcoding videos

By clicking this checkbox, Mezzmo will burn in a small progress bar into the top right corner of your video when it is transcoded. This can be useful if you wish to know how fast transcoding on-the-fly is whilst you are watching the video on your device.

Note: This progress bar is permanently is burnt into the video and can only be removed by re-transcoding the video again with this checkbox turned off.

By clicking this button, the default values will be applied to this set of options.
