Bypassing content rating restrictions in your web browser

Content rating restrictions are part of of the parental control settings that let you control what folders, playlists and files are delivered to your devices and users based on content ratings so that your children do not watch or listen to content that is not suitable for them. Mezzmo Windows has extensive parental control features for setting up content rating restrictions. See Using parental control settings.

If you have set up content rating restrictions for your Mezzmo server, then you can bypass them in your web browser using a PIN code.

  1. Go to the Mezzmo server login page for your user account in your web browser.
  2. Enter your username.
  3. In the Password field, enter your password followed by a forward slash and then your PIN code (i.e. <password>/<PIN code>). The PIN code must match the PIN code entered in Mezzmo Windows Options dialog (Content Rating page). Entering the matching PIN code lets you bypass any content rating restrictions that you may have running on your Mezzmo server.
