Subtitle Settings

Use this dialog to set various settings for handling subtitles.

Subtitle file

The external subtitle file that is related to the settings you are changing. Click the Browse button to select another external subtitle file.

Title

The display title that is used when listing subtitles for a video.

Delay offset (ms)

If your subtitles are displayed too early when watching your video, you can delay the display of your subtitles using this edit box. For example, to delay the subtitles by 3 seconds, enter 3000.

Reading settings

Mezzmo will uses these settings when reading external subtitles files. When changing any of these settings, you can see the effect in the Preview.

Input format

Mezzmo will attempt to auto detect the format of an external subtitle file and it will make a correct detection in most cases. However, if you think it is incorrect, then you can override this by selecting the format.

Detected language

Mezzmo will attempt to auto detect the language of an external subtitle file and it will make a correct detection in most cases. However, for some external subtitle formats, Mezzmo cannot determine the language and you will need to make a manual selection of language. The selected language will affect what subtitle file is delivered to your devices.

Code page

Mezzmo will attempt to auto detect the code page of an external subtitle file and will make a correct detection in most cases. However, for some external subtitle formats, Mezzmo cannot determine the code page and you will need to make a manual choice of language. The selected code page will affect the display of characters in your subtitles.

Burning settings

Mezzmo will uses these settings when burning subtitles into videos. When changing any of these settings, you can see the effect in the Preview.

Font face

The font used for text when burning subtitles into the video.

Font size

The font size used for text when burning subtitles into the video.

Face color / transparency

The face color and transparency level used for text when burning subtitles into the video.

Outline color / transparency

The outline color and transparency level used for text when burning subtitles into the video.

Background color / transparency

The background color and transparency level used for text when burning subtitles into the video.

Invert

Click to invert the face color and outline color.

Preview

The preview shows an example of what the text will look like when using the reading settings and burning settings.

Total

The number of subtitle text entries in the subtitle file.

Index

The current subtitle entry that is displayed in the Preview from the subtitle file. Move the slider to move to another subtitle entry from the subtitle file.

Subtitle Slider

Move the subtitle slider to view other subtitle entries from the subtitle file.

Duration

The amount of time that the subtitle entry will be displayed onscreen.

Time

The time in the video when the subtitle entry will be first displayed.

Default Settings

By clicking this button, the default values will be applied to the subtitle settings.

Convert

Click this button to convert from the current subtitle format to another format. The converted subtitle file will be save in your Windows Documents folder and will be added to your Mezzmo library. The original subtitle track will be disabled.
